After five years of hard work, joys, and setbacks, this is the last piece missing to find peace! 

I am part of Canada’s private sponsorship program for refugees, thanks to the NGO Mennonite Central Committee and a group of Canadian citizens, who welcomed my brother in 2023, and are now sponsoring me! The administrative part is already prepared. The last piece missing for a complete file is a financial guarantee required by the Canadian government. 

This program for refugees organised by the Canadian government requires that I have 19,100 CAD by the end of June to cover my first year of integration.

With my brother, we have deployed many resources to support ourselves the past years, but this time we need all the support we can get. Gathering 19,100 CAD by the end of June is a lot for us. At the same time, we cannot imagine failing so close to our goal.

The funds will be managed by MCC Mennonite Central Committee, one of the main NGOs responsible for supporting groups of citizens who participate in sponsorship programmes, ensuring they are used to cover my basic needs during my first year in Canada. 

All our hopes rest on this call for support.

As the crowdfunding platforms take 6,8 % of the collected amount, we need 20,500 CAD in total to reach the deposit amount requested.
